Argh! Another cold day. Day 3 of it. 47 degrees. Isinglass is still down in the upper helm and I’m still wearing socks. Today, I even put shoes on over my socks.
Small boat wind and wave advisories are still in effect.
Along the Way
Still Lake Worth, a bit further north in Riviera Beach.
Do you think I have Obsessive Comparative Disorder??????
I’m OK. I don’t have Obsessive Comparative Disorder because I used Google Maps instead of Zillow.
Jupiter Island, FL. Much better than Miami in my mind. The houses have land around them. Urban sprawl. Much more low keyed.
We’ve seen this boat before. Yesterday as a matter of fact. The Hudson was grounded out mid-channel at St Lucie. She’s waiting for a rising tide. yes dear… had the barnacles off her belly and her rudder polished as she plowed through the in-channel sand bar behind the Hudson.
We were attacked by about two dozen small sailboats just after clearing the bridge. A regatta was in full sail an using ICW channel markers for race markers. I was at the helm (missing a great photo op) when they attacked. Vessels under sail have right of way to vessels under power. yes dear… had to freeze in place and hoover until they cleared us. One of the safety patrol monitoring boats hailed us and told us to watch out for them as they raced 4 miles up to the next bridge and back. EeeYow!
It was a great day for sailing.

Falling iguanas’ weather may not wipe out invasive lizards but can make pythons easy pickings.
